Midland Streetscape

Midland, Michigan

Rebranding of downtown Midland by SmithGroup, Detroit included a monument sign with a coordinating flag in the heart of the city. Illuminated Spark panels with light points in an elegant grid pattern add pizzazz and a welcoming ambience.

The “Midland red” letters were embedded within the panel rather than being applied to the surface. This configuration yielded a smooth and easy to clean surface.

RGBW edge-lighting was also provided to allow the panels and city to respond to any notable events and seasons.
